Light and Dark
 
We have been learning about the difference between light and dark. We learnt that we can see when it is light. Light and dark are opposites. When it is light it is day and when it is dark, it is night.
We sorted things we would find or use at night or day.
We have been learning about different things that make light- we found sun, light, torch, TV, fire, candle, ipad were all things that could make light.
We went into the dark room and noticed all the different colour lights and what was different about them. Some changed colour, some moved, some were still. 
WE have been exploring different light up toys and torches in the dark room. We could see the beam of the torch and noticed it made a circle shape which we could make bigger or smaller when we moved the torch. We could even change the colour of the torch beam by shining through coloured plastic. 
When we shone the light through the bubble tube, it changed the shape of the torch beam. We could make pretty patterns when we used more than one torch.
