My World, Your world

This term we are learning all about our world. We read the beautiful book by Melanie Walsh and we have been learning about different continents of the world.

We have explored Africa and felt what it might be like to be wakling on hot sand. We looked at African patterns and designed our own.

It was cold when we learnt about the Arctic and Antarctic so we made sure we dressed up warm in warm clothes. We explored the best way to get items out of blocks of ice.

Learning about Europe was fun. We found flags of European countries hidden around the grounds and learnt to say 'hello' in French, Spanish, German, Swedish, Dutch. We learnt about the different flags and of course tried food from lots of different countries. We found out that we live in Europe.

As part of our learning we have been finding out about different animals and where they live. We can sort animals that live in Africa, Arctic and Antarctic and Europe.
