DT Cushion Making

Year 6 have been sewing cushions in their DT lessons with a focus on using appliques. They have researched various types of cushions and their uses, looking particularly at the design and construction aspects. Various applique types were chosen, using different fabrics, ribbons and buttons creating a mixture of textures on the cushions. A mixture of hand sewing and machine sewing techniques were used to attach the appliques and form the cushion itself.
