20.5.24 Making Electric Circuits

Making Electric Circuits.

This half term we have been learning about electricity and looked at how we need to keep ourselves safe around electricity.

Today we found out that electricity can only work if a circuit is made. We noticed the word 'circuit' was a bit like the word 'circle'.

We loved making our own circuits to make bulbs and buzzers work. Nathaniel even managed to make a switch so that he could turn it on and off.

Kara explored further and was challenged to link more bulbs into her circuit. She discovered that the more she added, the bulbs got dimmer each time. Then she tried adding more batteries into the circuit. It definitely made her bulb shine a lot brighter- until it didn't work anymore. Oop! A bit too much power maybe....
