Internet Safety Day

Year F, 1 and 2 had a joint assembly for our internet safety. We watched some Jessie and Friends internet clips and discussed how to be safe online, asking permission when taking and sending photographs as well as sensible rules for when we are online.

Here are some snippets from our discussion:

  •        He used his phone to make his friends look like superheroes.
  •        They’re happy with looking like superheroes.
  •        He asked permission to send the photos to Nan.
  •        He said you can send the photos to Nan.
  •         He’ll be sad.
  •        The children are sorry but he is frustrated about it.
  •        She thought it was funny but it wasn’t. It was mean because he didn’t like the photo.
  •        Then the photos got sent to all of their friends and all of their friends!
  •        Its been sent to lots of people.
  •        They’re going to ask them all to delete it.
  •        Don’t talk to strangers online.
  •        Don’t watch Youtube without an adult.
  •        I have a timer for my VR. If I spend too long on it, it makes me sick.
  •        I can’t spend too long on games of I get cranky.
  •        You shouldn’t have games on for an hour before bedtime.
