On Tuesday morning, the Year 2s took part in an online workshop all about keeping safe with friends. During the workshop, the children got to know more about the friendships of Harold the Giraffe, Derek the Penguin and Kiki the Kangaroo, the characters used in their afternoon lessons. The children discussed the solutions to some common friendship issues and then thought about the qualities of their own friends. The children explored how to keep themselves safe with their friends because different thoughts, ideas and personalities can sometimes make choices about staying safe difficult. Finally, they then discussed and practised skills to help keep safe and resolve differences.
The children enjoyed the interactive games and activities, eager to share their thoughts and ideas with kind and thoughtful responses to the scenarios and questions they were asked.
