Drama Workshop

Today, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed an exciting drama workshop inspired by Roald Dahl’s much-loved story The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me.

Led by Oliver Midwinter from In The Bleak drama company, the children stepped into a magical world where singing animals just happen to be the best window cleaners in town! Together, we acted out scenes from the book, exploring the characters’ personalities and emotions while bringing the story to life on our feet.

The workshop also gave us the chance to use our imaginations in creative ways. We also learnt a lively song inspired by the book, which filled the room with energy and excitement.
Beyond the fun, the workshop encouraged us to reflect on the story’s deeper themes. The Giraffe, the Pelly and Me is full of friendship, creativity, and resilience—reminding us of the importance of working together and following our dreams.

It was a fantastic experience for the children, full of laughter, imagination, and storytelling magic!
