Science Week - Physiotherapist Visit

As part of science week we were visited by two physiotherapists who explained how their job is linked to science. We asked a lot of questions and learnt lots about their job.

We also learnt that there are 206 bones in an adult body with approximately 600 muscles : you have to know A LOT in order to be a physiotherapist! We were successful in matching the bones to the correct part of the skeleton and learnt some Latin names for them eg radius and tibia. Finally, we learnt that the best way to treat an injury is to move the bones and muscles until they are tired- the press up challenge was VERY tiring!
