Lego Project

This term, Year 3 took part in an amazing LEGO project that combined creativity, technology and teamwork. Through the project values of Teamwork, Discovery, Inclusion, Impact, Innovation and Fun, we worked together in groups to design and build archaeological artefacts and ancient buildings.

Throughout the project, we explored how archaeologists learn about the past and used our imagination and research skills to create our own models. Every team contributed ideas, solved problems together and supported one another to make sure everyone was included.

As well as building with LEGO, we developed our coding and engineering skills using LEGO Spike kits. We programmed motors and sensors to bring our creations to life, testing and improving our designs along the way. This helped us to think like inventors and engineers while learning the importance of perseverance and innovation.

The project culminated in a special presentation where we proudly shared our work with our adults. We explained our designs, demonstrated our programmed models and talked about what we had learned during the term. We also set them a challenge of building something in a set time.

We are incredibly proud of everything we achieved. The project helped us to develop new skills, work collaboratively and have lots of fun while learning. It was a fantastic experience, and we all agreed that it was amazing!
